Presplorers observe, record and study natural elements

16 Apr 2019

On Sunday, April 14 2019, the Presplorers visited Buskani,  a Lesser Prespa lake shore, with the aim of discovering elements of the shore that change seasonally. After observing the area from the hill of Kale, we descended to this shoreline, where we chose two fixed spots and we marked them with a ribbon so that we can locate them again on our next visit. From these spots we took pictures, we measured their distance from the water to record the water level, we recorded various vegetation characteristics and finally we recorded the waterbirds we observed and the frogs we heard. All of our observations were noted in standard field protocols so that we can identify and discuss the differences of these elements in our next visits that will take place at different times of the year.
