Under the cooperation with the Centre for Technological Research of Western Macedonia (CTRWM) the application of shredded reed biomass was completed in selected agricultural fields of the area.
The CTRWM and the SPP are cooperating with farmers of Prespa, by experimentally applying reed biomass in their bean cultivations. The aim of this study is to assess the effect of reed biomass in the cultivation and production of beans in fields with different soil conditions. The experimentation will continue also within 2020 and the CTRWM will follow every step, in order to form conclusions and proposals for the use of reed as soil conditioner in the cultivations of the area.
