Yesterday, the first meeting of the Transboundary Wetland Management Committee took place at the Society for the Protection of Prespa, in Laimos. Representatives of the Greek and Albanian Management bodies of the National Park as well as, members from the environmental organizations MES, PPNEA and SPP were present at the meeting. The issues that were discussed were mostly about the management practices as well as the monitoring actions that are implemented at the wetland, on all 3 sides of the Prespa Lake. The participants had the opportunity to exchange their gained experiences and also expand the possibilities of future cooperation. Through the discussions, procedures for exchanging information and scientific data were set out, in order to empower the cooperation.
