15 Feb 2017

Last Tuesday, 14th February 2017, was a historic day for Greece’s policy record in the field of nature conservation and sustainable development. The parliament of the country ratified by an overwhelming majority the international ‘Agreement for the Protection and Sustainable Development of the Prespa Park Area’ among Greece, Albania, Former Yugoslavia Republic of Macedonia and the European Union. It is the first time that our country proceeds to such a policy which is the institutionalization of a system of permanent cooperation in a border area protected for its unique biodiversity.
