The results of our long-standing collaboration with the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, in regards to the ecology of Dalmatian pelicans, were published in IBIS last June. As mentioned in the article, we fitted GPS/GSM transmitters on 14 Dalmatian pelicans.
The first phase of wetland vegetation management was completed this summer. During this period the project team cut fresh reed in the priority areas of the littoral zone, which had been identified in the annual operation plan.
Monitoring of the vegetation development in areas that were managed under the project in 2018 has been successfully completed, and new sampling points have been established in the areas included in the wetland management plan for 2019.
