The project team organised a photography competition for the children and teenagers of Prespa at the public library in Laimos, on the theme of “The Spirit of Exploration”. The aim of the competition was for the kids to learn techniques for editing photos, as well as to explore Prespa through their own eyes and record what they saw with the aid of a camera lens. Their photographs were accompanied by a Haiku and the three best entries were chosen by a committee of judges, based on criteria such as creativity and relevance to the theme. The winners were all members of Presplorers, and other members of the club had the chance to check out the competition photos at an exhibition afterwards, while new Presplorers were recruited during the competition.
